Jones Gallery + Studio is located at 73 Duke Street in historic Uptown Saint John.
The gallery exhibits the work of Saint John-based artist Sarah Jones, with a special focus on urban and industrial landscape.
Jones Gallery is housed in one of the most unique buildings in Saint John. The wooden two-storey Queen Anne Revival style building was constructed in 1912 and is barely more than eleven feet across and twenty feet deep. (Yes, that really is all there is!) Jones Gallery has been located here since 2012.
The gallery is now open Tuesday to Saturday 11-5. Also happily by appointment.
Caleb is the Gallery Director. He is also Sarah's brother. He manages the day-to-day operation of the gallery, and his interests lie in curating exhibitions, staging pop-up galleries, enticing new collectors and first-time buyers into the art world. He also occasionally blogs, organizes Sarah's commission schedule and reminds her frequently of looming deadlines.
He has studied curating and contemporary art gallery operations with Sotheby's Institute of Art and was an invited speaker at the latest TransCultural Exchange Conference on International Opportunities in the Arts in Quebec City, Quebec.
