Jones Gallery curator, Sarah Jones, presents the second talk in a summer-long lecture series on Art in Florence. Tonight we will take a close look at the life and work of Renaissance artist, Sandro Botticelli, with special focus on work in the Uffizi collection - Botticelli’s Birth of Venus and Primavera.
Each lecture in the Art in Florence series is a stand-alone talk. No previous attendance or Florence-knowledge necessary!
Art history lectures at Jones Gallery are free and open to the public. Donations to support the ongoing lecture series are gratefully accepted by not required.
