Project 100: Day 100
First, sincere thanks to everyone for your support. Very very much appreciated. I have a few reminders and events to share with you on the last day - please see below.
Today! Please join me for cake:
The studio has been overwhelmed with requests for the last few pieces of Project 100. Due to this response, I'm offering a limited opportunity to request 6x6 inch commissions for $100 each. Orders must be received by May 1, 2013. Prices return to normal after the 1st.
UPCOMING: I am ridiculously behind in commissions and other projects, so the studio will be closed for a couple weeks for inventory lock-down, hah.
ALSO UPCOMING: UNBSJ Art History course, HUM 1904: Introduction to Art and Architecture, starts May 1.
The HUM 1904 art history class will offer a broad introduction to Western art from the Renaissance to the 20th century. Students will learn processes of visual analysis, become familiar with key figures and artistic movements, periods and styles, and explore how painting, sculpture and architecture relate to each other and to the wider historical context. This course is designed to provide students with a fundamental understanding of art history and an opportunity to develop a critical approach to visual culture. HUM 1904 is open to all UNBSJ students; no prerequisites are required. Community members are also welcome to audit the course! Contact the UNBSJ Registrar's office at 648-5670 for registration, fee and auditing information; or contact Sarah Jones at Jones Gallery, 672-2326, for further information on the course. Class takes place on Monday and Wednesday evenings, beginning May 1 and running until the end of June.
I will be participating again in the Rothesay Netherwood School Art Show & Sale, May 10-11. This is a great event. Please drop by for a look. This is one of the pieces I will be sending:
Other news... hm. Gallery Hop!! On May 24th!! Gallery Hops are awesome!!
