Project 100: Day Fourteen

Warning: today's piece is a bit of a departure from Germain Street intersections. I would like to introduce you to some of my Graffiti work - where I look at the shapes, lines and structures I see around the city and represent them in an abstract way. You'll recognize little bits of graffiti, cranes, scaffolding, tankers and wires.

For instance, this is a large piece I just finished:

Here is today's piece. The six by six inch canvas was a challenge! I have been mostly working large-scale with these concepts. Challenge is good...nerve wracking , but good.

No. 114, mixed media on canvas, 6x6 inches, 2013

I'm planning to spend some time with this concept (maybe a week or so), while I gather up some more street photos.

Happy Monday.
