Project 100: Day Five

Germain and Harding, oil on canvas, 6x6 inches, 2013

I love Saint John's little connector streets, like Harding, Grannan, Horsfield. Or those odd twisting ones in Mount Pleasant - Duncraggan and Ravenscliffe.

My javelin-throwing little brother trained in Lethbridge, Alberta, for a few years. I visited him in Lethbridge last April to give him a hand with moving back to the Maritimes. Lethbridge is so neatly organized: Street No. 32; Street No. 33, Avenue No. 35 - grid pattern and flat.

As an artist, give me the hills, odd-ball streets, absurdly-named, one-way-infested meanderings of the Port City.
