We are staying in the Palazzo Guadagni, a beautiful hotel located in a palace built in 1505. Palazzo Guadagni is in the Oltrarno quarter, an area which literally means ‘beyond the Arno’ - on the south side of the River Arno. This is Sarah and Caleb’s preferred neighbourhood for after-hours in Florence. This neighbourhood - directly across the river from the Uffizi and the Piazza della Signoria - is quieter and less touristic than the north side of the river. The restaurants and squares in this area busy with locals and feels like a respite from the bustling zone around the Duomo and the Accademia.
The Palazzo Guadagni faces directly onto the Santo Spirito square - Sarah and Caleb’s favourite piazza in all of Florence.
Note: This program fee includes accommodation at the Palazzo Guadagni. If you prefer to make your own accommodation arrangements, please contact us for the program fee minus accommodation. We recommend staying in the Oltrarno, near the Santo Spirito piazza, as we will be using the Palazzo Guadagni for some sessions and meeting points.
