Inspiration from Saint John 225

I've been inspired by a commercial.

Inspired, one, because it's simply Saint John's big birthday, and I love this city. And (more literally) inspired, second, because of that great skyline shot at the end of the clip. So I decided to tackle a giant skyline painting - deep breath. I've been putting this one off because everyone's just so familiar with the shapes and the form... and so dedicated to what it stands for/symbolizes within the city's collective consciousness. But I'm going to try it.

I'm putting my recently-arrived 2'x6' canvases to use. Started the big skyline project today. Look at that progress. Conclusion: six feet is so long that I get lost from one end to the other.

Are you going for a sea level perspective, or a tilt?

Sea level, probably. Although I'm fairly liberal with perspective rules, so who knows... could be a combination!
